Inexpensive magnesium-alloy case Latitude based on AMD Puma platform, like D531!

What is good about Latitude D531 is that while it comes cheap thanks to the inexpensive CPU, it has got the same build quality - it employs magnesium alloy case.

I would like to see Puma platform based Latitudes similar to D531 in the future notebook line. According to the web rumor/leak, The E5000 line Latitudes would employ only ABS plastic case, magnesium alloy being reserved for the E6000 line. Please, offer an AMD option in the E6000 line as well. Intel GPU quality mandates dedicated graphic board, while AMD offers good enough integrated one, thus saving a lot of power. Also offers universal video decoder.

If the E5xxx range has all the advantages of the E6xxx range, who will buy the E6xxx range?

Yep, basically I meant make E6000 with AMD inside (a bit cheaper) as well. So that you get the E6000 tough body for less thanks for the lower price of AMD-based filling. If you ask me, the build quality, sturdiness and longevity is more important in a laptop than top-notch performance (and Turions are fast enough). Second, AMD offers better integrated display adapters, with Intel you basicly need to get a dedicated, which drains battery a lot, or you are stuck with what is only good for 2D and what cannot accelerate video playback (while the 7series AMD chipset can completely offload even Blu-ray).
