Upgradable graphics in the m1530!!! (no more soldered cards)

Im sick of my laptop graphics getting old and then finding that i need to buy an all new system. Cant the xps come with modular cards (mxm) that can be upgraded direct from dell if the consumer requests a graphics upgrade. Of course there will be a cost involved but surely it will be better than having to buy an entire new system!

There is a reason this is done. laptops are made for small form factors so everything is placed directly to the motherboard. In order for dell to do this a standardization is needed between all motherboard manufactures and graphics card dealers. A change like that would normally take a year at least. the issue that arises is the amount of power drawn for cards are different the placement of Adapters becomes less versatile in their positioning in order for the laptop to accept it etc. Many other seemingly small issues come about too.

Personally its an idea I would like to see implemented but i know it wont be anytime soon.

If only...........
Bear in mind there still isn't a standard form factor for laptop motherboards, so this kind of thing won't happen for a long long time if ever.....
