How "new" are IdeaStorm ideas?

Dell should give feedback on just how "new" are the ideas posted in IdeaStorm. Dell has an internal IdeaStorm system for their employees. Why not give us some feedback on whether the ideas posted here are new and different from the ideas posted by Dell employees?

Mar 4		 The internal site isn't relevant to this site, it doesn't matter to us if they install waterless urinals or get an increase in their 401k plans.

Mar 4		 Jorge---I certainly don't want the waterless urinals (again!). But if Dell can come up with the same ideas that are posted here, what is the incremental value of IdeaStorm? Is this just a PR vehicle or do some really new ideas only come from the community members?

Mar 4		 Nothing is new under the sun. But maybe they listen more on the internal channels.

Mar 4		 @bayusb: There are new and different ideas on both. Sometimes we see similarities on product ideas, but there are definitely many career development and facilities ideas on the internal site.
